TO THE AUSTRALIAN ASSOCIATION (NORWAY), 18.01.'08

I should like to take this opportunity to wish all Australians resident in Norway a very happy and safe Australia Day, be they celebrating with fellow Australians or just going about their normal business.  For some of you, Australia Day might evoke nostalgic thoughts about some of the good things that life in Australia can offer and that you are missing while so far away. However, I  am sure that you are also enjoying some of the wonderful experiences that life in Norway can offer, and as productive members of the Norwegian community - be it for a short or a long time - you are also helping to project a positive image of Australia and strengthening ties between your country of origin and country of residence.  My warmest best wishes to you all.
